Prince Kuhio Seasonal Whale Watch

Included
Entry with the Go Maui Card
Each year, from about December through March, more than 500 humpback whales frolic in their winter home, the deep blue waters between the islands of Maui, Molokai, Lanai, and Kahoolawe. Sightings of these playful behemoths, which have been seen as large as 50 feet in Hawaii and would weigh about one ton per foot, have evoked many excited cries from the passengers and crew of the Prince Kuhio.
Daily whale watch cruises occur from approximately December 17th through March 31st. There is a field naturalist on board to provide expert commentary throughout the tour. The two-hour cruise departs Maalaea at 12:30 p.m. and cruises by the Kihei coastline towards the Alalakeiki Channel, where many humpbacks mate, calve and raise their young. Come see a mother whale frolic with her young calf or leap exuberantly out of the water for an absolutely unforgettable experience. Note: Reservations required.
